Where to get treatment
My 31 year old daughter needs treatment for meth and opiate addiction. She wants to go to an outpatient facility for methadone treatment. I feel strongly that she needs an inpatient program.
She lives in Santa Rosa, CA. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you for reaching out to the community, we want to help you and your daughter. You mentioned she wants to go to a methadone program, while I am glad she is seeking treatment, it sounds like she needs detox and residential treatment first. While methadone is an excellent treatment option, it is primarily used to keep opiate cravings away, not as a substitution for opiates. Also, it doesn't do anything for meth addiction. Nar-anon is a support organization for loved ones of substance abusers ( www.nar-anon.org). I strongly encourage you to contact them.
